I have the drift bible on my hard drive but it's 650MB. Does any one know how to use FTP or have some webspace I could host it on? Then everyone can share it

I can put this on a server from work which has lots of bandwidth. it's actually hosted by the same company (49pence) who host the zone.
I have a copy of the DB too, will upload it and post user accounts this evening. And through the magic of the net I'll start the upload from the clients computer I'm currently working on

files will be up sometime tomorrow. I'll leave it uploading over night but it's gonna take a while! Once they're done they'll move from the incomplete section to the root foler. (you'll see what I mean).
Yes, there is a torrent. Or Kazaa, WinMX, eDonkey et al but it's nice to have a simple link for the peeeps who don't care to use that kind of thing.

from what I understand, although I've yet to put it in practice, you can get it to go sideways but keeping it there is a case of intertia. like an fwd I guess. if this is so then it's not so much a drift as a slide. but still sideways is sideways
As I understand it to keep a drift going you need to be able to spin the loaded (outside) wheel but an open diff will only spin the wheel that isn't loaded, which has no grip as it's unloaded and therefore doesn't push the car along. Didn't davetouring do a lot of open-diff sideways action until he got his lsd? maybe he can throw some light on it.

If your car is like mine I'd be careful! If you try to get the backend out and it doesn't go then you can be left with some very nasty understeer :-/320Touring wrote:nice one hoshy!![]()

I smashed my sump and engine mounts this way! Im getting a nice set of front tyres soon which will help, I just hope the koni sports which are also coming don't make the back end stuck to the road. I guess I'll have to wait and see. With so little power in the m40 sideways is a tough job. possible though... at least I hope it is.
I wonder which is better for sideways. the m20b20 (I think that's yours?) or the m40b18 (mine)
You've got alot more torque esp at the low, but overall power is quite similar I believe. with the m40 being a lighter enigne. will be interesting. you coming to the lakeside meet?

that's cos it's in the incomplete folder dude. once all the files up up there you can have access
probably should've mentioned that earlier. watch this space for more info.
By the way folks - any other files you want sharing just let me know. I'll give you an upload account on the server.
Karen your drift video would be a good start.
