fao anyone with rover v8 in there e30 sump help needed

ive got a rover v8 in my e30 and the sump has been modded to clear the crossmember which means it hangs too low, ive now went over some road works and ripped it clean off, can anyone put some pics up of there sumps cheers

i busted my sump now twice in a month, due to shite in the road (bricks) can give you pics of a 2.0 m20 if you want?? but surly you want rover one's, if so would do a search on google cos i doubt may people have the same conversion on here

What does it go like with a Rover V8 - got any 0-60 figures, top speed, etc? Did you use the Rover gearbox or can it be mated to the BMW one?

it managed a 14.6 at 94 mph with lots of wheel spin ( open diff) my 0-60 was 5.9 which is a calculated guess using a 0-60mph calculator and a 1/4 mile timing slip, ive never tried the top speed but ive had it to 120 mph and it was still going id say it might hit 135mph i have the rover gearbox in mine, a t5 would be nicer.

bit of a pointless exercise i think. the "better" one put out about 190bhp i think. to much arseing around for too little effort.

if big engines are your thing then fit an m30 3.5. a bit of work, but can be done with fair knowledge and plenty of time. less of a headache than the v8 above.

it aint pointless mate i like them engines, there cheap,powerful,very very light, compact easy to work on and plentyful and they dont rely on turbos or high technology to make good tractable power
