ANT turbo drain

Ant ,
i ordered / got the 320 d turbo drain and gasket , but hows thick the sump , is it thick enought to to drill and tap , or do you use a tapped plate and gasket on both inside and out , assume above the oil level to advoid leaks ?

Drilled and tap'd the sump, two bolts and some sealant, gotta take it off really to avoid any swarf in the oil.

drilled 4mm, tapped to M6 Frank

the sump walls are only 4mm or so thick

I threadlock some stainless bolts in from the inside out, then fit the gasket( with sealer) and the drain tube then finally fasten using M6 nuts from the outside

no leaks at all in 14K miles M8 as long as you hug the upper sump flange you'll be above the static oil level dude

was it cut 25 mm off the tube or does it need bending etc before i go and fitt it ?
What are u doing manifold wise, now ?,
