Is there a good way to effectively improve the standard dip beam lighting?

Mine,as i'm sure many other peoples are, is crap.

Exclude the "fit 100w bulbs",i've done this and they just pop the second you go over some slightly rough ground.

Suggestions?

Cheers :D

Without spending lots of money, best thing to do is remove both headlamps, remove backs and bulbs, and put them in the kitchen sink, fill up with warm soapy water, give them a good shaking and a good soak, dry throughly, and fit some new phillips blue vision or osram silver star bulbs, and I can guarantee you will be impressed with the results.

Yes I did, but I know Rog, and I think he'd rather spend £200 on fags and coffee!

 Si,am I really that predictable?? LOL

Your so right :jester: :jester: :jester:

Thanks for the advise BTW,except for suggesting I might wash head lamps in the kitchen sink,I mean, what kind of person would wash car parts in the kitchen?? thats what the baths for!
Only last weekend the bath was used for rocker cover cleaning, soon to have an inlet manifold in it too.
Was thinking though in this enviromentally friendly time we live in,perhaps I should get in the bath at the same time, would save water, nothing like a good bath using Imperial Gunk!

Seriously though,thanks for the tip. :D :D

Is there more than one type of late headlight?

The smiley lights on my touring were pretty crap (very yellow light) so I fitted the lights that were on my Sport and they are much, much brighter with an almost white light.

It is probably due to dirt and grime build up inside the lights, follow the above advise (use bath if prefered! :P ) and see if there's any difference.
