Seriously, do they have one. mine doesn't but it does have a rectangular blanking plate near the sunroof front. seems odd to only have them in the back.

The maplights (in the mirror) dont come on when the doors open (they have a swtich on the mirror), but I think there is a mod to make it happen. Not sure if Ive seen it on here or another E30 site.

You can retrofit a 3rd interior light into the rectangular hole. It is a very simple modification. The wires can be fed under the roof trim to one of the other lights.

This is one of the most useful mods I've done to my E30s! The wires behind the headlining won't get caught up in any sun roof mechanism, and are easily fished around from the side with a hooked piece of stiff wire.

that looks really good, i've replaced my rear bulbs with white 9 LED units 44mm long as one had gone and nearly melted the housing with it, LED's should be cooler. would like the same thing at the front and blanked out thing looks about the right size.

this is how it looks at moment.

I wouldn't mind doing that front light mod,the side ones are crap for people in the front.

just nick one from the breakers and the wirings pi55, just wire from one of the existing, 3 wire constant live, constante earth (for the switch on the light) and door open earth

there should be a red and 2 brown. if you don't have a multimeter take off 1 of the earth's and open the door, if the light don't come on hey presto you've just found your door earth. then just go from there
