I've got a working glovebox torch - it helped me put up a tent in the middle of the night!

I've got map lights, factory fitted aircon and working headlight intensive wash!

I feel so rare!

my options list also had "Delete Catalysor" listed although i'm not entirely what it's implying

Deleta catalysor merely refers to the fact that new cars in the UK didnt have to have a cat until '91

so if your car is pre '91 it wouldnt have had one fitted

my 320i touring shows the same on the build sheet

No the link shows that tourings came with alloy wishbones; and so did late m3's. The diagram may be the same but te part desciption and part numbers are different. If you dont think they exist i can send you a phoo of them on my car!!

I've got SA 325i, I think the SA cars are well speced, I got:

Air con
Cruise
Headlight Wash
Sump Guard - top piece of kit!
Large Tool Kit
Untouched First Aid Kit and Triangle
Seatbelt Check panel
OBC
Long Range fuel tank
Leather with Rear Head rests

I'd quite like

Maplight, Armrest, Extinguisher, Torch, Bootliner sounds good.

yep regular tourings only had steel control arms mate. Only 325i tourings had them although finding a set is hard as when they do need replacing most people find 230 quid per wishbone a bit steep and i dont blame them

Yeah, sorry I wasnt talking about the M3s.

Where you said "I think all tourings" I just meant of the touring range only the 325i touring had them not the 318i/320i etc.

A lot of these things aren't rare because you can still get them at dealers. Illuminated gearkobs, MTEC steering wheels, Extinguishers etc...

They may be expensive and they may have been scarcely fitted at the time but who's got some real rare shit that you can't get for love nor money?

eg - I got a rear parcel shelf in blue with an integrated third brake light!

im liking htis thread....a good read so far

mine was a pretty well specced touring from new.

had:-

SE trim
maplight
intensive wash/headlight (now removed)
leccy roof
4 leccy windows
towbar
check control
abs
shadowline kit

its had added by previous owner:-

m30 engine....cheers derek :D
rover 800 recaros
lsd
quickshift
eyebrows

ive added:-

cruise
13 button obc
heated mirrors (one is dud though...anyone got a spare?)
heated washers
tech one wheel...at least i think thats what it is....came out of a 318IS
all the usual clear indicators and red rears sprayed by myself

i need:-

either black leather or heated sports cloth....ive given up on heated leather for it now cos i didnt realise it was so rare. ive got the loom and switches for heated seats though so it would be a waste not to use it

load cover with dog guard

load liner

bbs rs 001's or mim 1900's

thats my perfect touring finished if i get that little lot :D
