I'm going to get some tyres fitted to my refurb 15" BBS and am looking for recommendations.

I'm looking at Pirelli P6000 or Toyo Proxes T1-S.

What would you recommend ?

Cheers,

What ever you do do not get any Pirelli tyres!

I would say toyo (they wear megga quick) but i swear by Eagle F1s 205 55 15 are a great choice.

Im about to get some for my 16" Hartges for Ԛ£64 plus vat. (eagles)

I would also say that Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD 3's are good!

Very grippy, great in the wet and dry, but they wear quickly.

I had Pirelli P7000's on the front of mine, and they were also good, but the Goodyears seemed slightly grippier.

I've only got shitty cheap tyres to compare them with but on the corsa I had a set of Yokohama S306s. After a week or two scrubbing in I absolutly LOVED them. they were 155/60 R13 though so I don't know how the larger ones compare to what else is available.

I've got Goodyear Eagle F1's on my Sport... they are amazing.

No matter how hard I try I can't get the back end to go with them... the Alpinas with 'whatever' tyres on the other hand, now that's a different matter... he he!

Bridgestone S03's are very, very good also. I had the S02's on my first Sport and they made cornering a whole new experience!

I've had the P6000s and they were a very non-descript tyre choice. Expensive, noisy and not very grippy.

At the moment running Yokohama A539s which i'm well impressed with. Cheap as chips, fantastic grip and they're not wearing half as quick as people say. Done over 10k on the rears and there's still over 5mm left.

I'm running F1's on the rear and are great, have p zeros on the front not great (but they came with the wheels). This combo makes the car understeer quite a bit

Pirelli P7000's were excellent on my mini and P6000's were great on my starlet...

Best allrounders I've had the P7000's

Agree on G F1s, if they did them in the right size Id have a set in an instance. But as for S03 they might last well. But to me they are just cack in the Wet. They give no feedback as to what they are upto. Which means you are substantially slower in the wet than you need to be.

Sounds to good to be true!

My cousins husband runs his own tyre and exhaust place!

He's well into the teqnical stuff and reckons the new Khumo
tyre out performed the Eagle F1 in some big industry test
It got an overall rating of 97.45% compared to the eagl f1@ 94.95%

I will try and find the site it was on!!

I wanted set for my M3
225/45 vr16 came out at Ԛ£67.20
Not sure what the price for a Eagle F1 is at that size though?

Yes i know the correct size is 205/55/15, but mine were for bbs 8"+15 splitrims to give extra clearance, the 205/55/15s are the same price,

I had a few sets of tyres on the rear of mine, the first i had were P6000 which were excellent in both conditions but wore out to quickly :( then i ran some Goodyears also good but same problem wore out to quick  but then i tried some Avons as they were cheap and i didnt have much cash at the time now they grip well but also possible to step the arse out if you want and they have lasted forever :D

Bridgestones s03 were too soft, worn out within a year and half!

Now i have dunlop sp9000s and they're amazing, hard wearing good grip,
on a well surfaced road you cannot fault them even in the wet, poorer surfaces so slippery when wet doesnt matter how good ur tyres are!

I also have Dunlop SP's... grip is fine..but I find them quite noisy. Friend of mine swears by Bridgestone S-03's. I don't hear many mentions about Continentals on any UK forums - good? bad?

toyos r very good wet or dry

eagle f1's are awesome wet or dry

on the pulsar i had falken fk451's - i found them to be excellent but be warned they do wear very quickly, oh and the rest of the falken range is crap

I think the trouble with Continentals is that they're too expensive. So as a result, not many people on here will have tried them in their E30's.

For 2.5% i would not move from Eagle, they are very good for price/grip/looks.

Bridgestone have really stiff side walls.
