My engine has just suffered a terminal failure and I need to replace the lump.
Anybody know where I can find a reputable complete engine?

Why not take the opportunity to fit an M50?

I'd certainly entertain an M50 - I just need to be sure I find a good one as I don't want to have to spend more pulling the thing out every few months. I was guessing an M42 lump would be the cheapest option to drop straight in.
Being a rubbish mechanic I really need to find a trusted expert to to the job so any recommendations gratefully received.
I live near Cambridge so anywhere vaguely local would be helpful

Hi mate i have a nice four door 318is for sale, needs ticket and Tax but drives very well has a good few options.
