Pal318is I'm going for the 250,000! another few years yet.
I've been in touch with a few valeters these last few years inc c76 jon all who have given me their best methods of polishing and waxing. It gets the washed four times a week and shortly when funds allow a porta cable will be on its way to do a proper polish and wax.

I'm currently using a range of Swissol products along with some Meguiar's. I really think they combine well together. Although as many have told me it's all personal preference.

Thanks again to you all for kind your comments - much appreciated. I've added a few more pics for you to enjoy!

I had a great day last July. There were no clouds in sight just a beautiful blue sky. So I got cleaning and took the pictures above. The first photos I took were in Grassington nearly five years ago. The car is shot on the green hillside. See above. I've taken over 250 photos in total. It may seem a little much, but the car always looks different in certain lighting conditions, so the camera is always on standby.

Best story I had though was a professional valeter came over to do somebody's car one day at work.
Anyway I thought I'd ask him to give the car a clean inside, you know seats washed, trim spruced up etc. He came over looked at the car, and then looked at me as if I had two heads and said "you've got to be taking the piss" I said no I'm serious to which he replied "listen If you want a job in valeting give me a ring!" - I was flattered. Nice to have a comment like that from a professional.

The car itself has the odd stone chip here and there and was unfortunately hit by a very very lucky cat last week.
I'm awaiting for a estimate to the front lower spoiler to be repainted.

Other than that she does me proud :D

There's bits i can see needing done, the odd rust bubble and crack in the paint, the front bumper needs repainted coz it's scuffed and the rear arches were done at somepoint by a previous owner so there needing sorted and the side skirts are needing done too, the clear coat is coming off!! suppose i better get saving!!lol.

But she looks nice at the mo appart from that!! :D

Mindblowingly stunning! I'm buying a Dolphin Grey one in a few weeks, very similar conditon to yours. I see you're a BMW Car Club member, me too. Did you go to Gaydon this year? What about Donnington show?

Thanks terry-e30 and Ritz.

No, I haven't had the chance to get to any event yet as I'm constantly busy. I need to make more than effort though. Would be great to see all the other BMW's together in all their splendor.
