My central locking has worked for the 8 months I have had the car. However, It was always stiff when turning to lock (Drivers side).

This morning, the c/l wouldnt unlock from the drivers door. I managed to open the car using the boot lock. I went back to the drivers side and the car would then re-lock fine, and without any of the stiffness its always had.
When I tried to unlock it again - it wouldnt do it, so back to the boot lock and it unlocked no problems.

Im taking the damn car away for the weekend in the cotswolds tomorrow - can anyone tell me what might be going on incase I get the chance to fix it?

Cheers

Same happened to me, there's a tab on the end of the locking barrel that had snapped off so when you turn the key it's not actuating the central locking.

Thanks for the replies chaps. Wasnt suure if it is one of these problems as I can lock the car fine, just cant un-lock it. I suspect its the broken L shape bit.

Dave - is that link for central locking or manual locking do you think?

Cheers
