Has anyone got any idea how easy it is to change a heated rear windscreen? Mine only heats up on 3 lines now - I don't know whether it's the windscreen or the connection to it, does anyone know?

Thanks in advance,
Ian

It has to be the screen I'm afraid. If any of it heats up then the wiring is correct.

Ian.

Ok well that's good to know it a way... Now the question I want to ask everyone is, How hard is it to change the rear windscreen? And how expensive are they to get hold of? And if a brick fell through it would it be covered on my glass policy on my insurance  Not that I'd do that...

If you take the plastic trim out of the rubber on the outside then get in the back of the car and push it out with your feet, make sure someone is outside to catch it.

I have seen repair kits around, which you can use to repair 'breaks' in the rear window heater lines.
May be easier than replacing the rear window?
Can't remember where I saw them though.
Anyone know if Halfrauds do them?
Currently slumming it in an E46 Touring

Rear 'screens are marginally more difficult to fit than the front. Hour's work, +/-. If you need one, let me know.
