Hi, currently building a m20 turbo track car. Already got fibreglass bonnet and boot, removed all interior etc. Want to get rid of sunroof

Been looking at the carbon sunroof on www.s14.net

Just wondering, how do you bond it to the car.

Has any one had any experience of the parts quality and fitting

Cheers

I got mine from e30shop.de . There's no lip round teh bottom so it'll need to be bonded around the edges like the felt seal does for the original panel. It's easier if you keep the sunroof frame in as you can use it to support the panel on blocks from underneath, but it weighs a lot. I've got my metal panel in like this temporarily and it's really strong. I've used black silicon sealant round the panel and it's OK but messy if you look up close. The carbon panels are so light that unless you've got huge pressure diferences inside to outside then it'll hold fine.
