after reading about kwick fit

i was thinking it would be a good idea to put a sticky thread, or even its own place on the board ie "E30 Chat", "Ebay", "Technical..etc??

as this would certanilly help alot of people if they are out of town, or even using a garage for the first time to either steer clear, or turn in :D

any about else think this would be good?

Might be.

Each thread could have the title of the garage, then the following posts could contain the good / bad reports of people who've used them.

FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE ONLY of the garages though, as it could deteriorate into a slagging session...

well if there is enough support, we'll have to see if the mods would allow it and whether it is a big enough discussion for it to have its own place on the board :D

but as i will no longer be on the board after tonight due to cancelling the internet, i will never know if it does or not :(

I dont think so!

Defamation and libel. Information published on a site critical of another companies people or products could represent libel.

Sorry guys its a good idea, but the zone will not back it.

How about just a GOOD garage thread?

At least then there'd be some recommendations of where to go, and no threat to the zone.

This is a good idea, and one which will work.

Seems that quite a lot of members hail from the S.E. Why not get together and make your own list of garages you've had good dealings with. Then approach them with the potential for regular business from zone members and future referrals and try to negotiate a discount on labour and/or parts. Would it be possible to have numbered membership cards for registered zone members, discounts on production.
