The affected areas of rust where it has gone through will be cut out, and new metal put in its place (not pannels)

The cost is as it stands Ԛ£850.

The whole car will not be resprayed as this guy charges Ԛ£150 per pannel so i cant strach it that far just dont have the money!!!

I was given this guys details By BMW them selfs as he does a very good job on older cars with problems, as i have found that BMW them selfs just dont know how to properly treat cars this ages, they sand fill and paint only for the rust to come back in a year or so. I have seen this on three cars now worked on by BMW them selfs.
This guy has a big work shop with a few other cars which need new frames and all sorts doing, my car looks like its a walk in the park for him.
I hope the result is good as i cant afford to get it re done again.

As I said to you mate, this place is good!

They will no doubt do a top notch job.

Looking like it's coming along nicely!

Doesn't it annoy you having the panels that you so painstakingly polished rubbed down to bare metal!!! :x

It will be worth it in the end.

Yeah dude you should, the only thing is i went to see him right at the start of march and he could only fit me in on the 29th onwards, his books are very full, so give it time dont expect him to take the car in right away.

Dude it truly is amazing what hes done with the little holes and managed to keep the origional contour.

I told him your coming in to see him so you must do that at least. Hes owned loads of sports before and you should see what cars he had in today, I didnt want to take pics but wow! a touring Alpha 256 with some slight hero damage, a really old porche a few really old jags and a citroen.

Cant wait to have her back!

Dude if your going to keep the car, then i would say its worth paying that extra Ԛ£200 and not having the problems apear after a year or two.

But you only need to go in for a quote, see how much it will be.

He showed me the paint mixing room and its amazing he mixes the paint on site and can match any car. A pc does all the calculations and a scale tells him how much to use. Quite simple but effective.

Its only when you lift the boot you can see all the rust, but when they guys started to take the wire wheel to the rust alot of it was rotten badly, so thats why its been cut and pannels put in.

It in theory should be an improvement over the re refurb state.

Cant wait to have her back!
