So, I have been religiously parking my car with the drivers door on the road side and the passenger side next to the pavement. I figured that this would mean the door handle chancers don't get a chance. Its worked fine....until friday night.
Found my car on saturday with the rear quarter window caved in, they've tried to pull up the lock on the inside but it didn't work as it is permanently deadlocked, next they went for the passenger door barrel with a screwdriver, and again had no joy. Thank god they didn't have the vision to try the drivers door, they'd have found it unlocked and waiting!
Anyway, obviously I'm gutted that someones had a crack at my car, but on the upside I get to have the glass and all the locks replaced through the insurance.......so I get the drivers barrel that was already broken sorted, along with the boot one that never worked anyway, and of course the passenger side.......for Ԛ£100 excess.
Result.....ish.
When I first passed my test many moons ago my Dad gave me a lecture on defensive parking after their car got dinged while in my care. I might have to thank him as some of his advice has finally been of some use.
Now to find the little scrotes
