Which would you recommend?
Which would you avoid (....and why?)?
Any others for me to consider? If so, please tell me which.
I'm looking for a minimum 50w RMS through 2 channels at 4ohm. It will be driving a pair of Infinity Reference 5010 component speakers.
TIA
Stuart.

I'd look at Directed Audio mate as its a good make for the money u'd pay and they are really good amps, real good power and does whatn it says on the box

Considering Selling the Cabby, looks like its gonna go
Voted: other
Why: Genesis stereo 60 or stereo 100 for 80-120quid. These amps give more than there rated power and the quality is great.
I've got two stereo 60's cause i'm greedy
Apart from the infinity those amps are poor.

Well avoid Mutant with extreme prejudice as they really are crap. To be honest you always get what what you pay for im running the better end of the kenwood series and the sound quality is exelent also the actual speaker you use is important iam using a alpine type r sub and jus upgrading that improved clarity and volume 10 fold.

I went 'other'.
Would deffo avoid mutant. Fusion are ok for bass - wouldn't use them for mids/tops (to be fair i've never really heard them run tops though!). Don't know about the infinity amp tbh.
Genesis are excellent quality - it's not all about how many watts they are!!
What's your budget??? Big factor there!!!
Genesis stereo 60 is a nice little amp - haven't really looked around much recently but thought they were a few hundred quid!!
Genesis profile 2 is a bit cheaper and still a nice amp!!
If you don't mind a second hand amp, you can get some real bargains on ebay - you see some super expensive stuff going for peanuts at times!!
I'm going for some JL amps in mine!!!!!!!

I used to run a couple of Maystar QX amps and I couldnt recommend them enough. I had one amp running a pair of components and another running a pair of 15" Maystar subs and I used to do DB comps with this and I would upset alot of people with JL and more expensive stuff.
The amps had a very hard life and they never once failed me (unlike a £1k Rockford I had), I sold them on to a chav as I left the DB game (and needed the cash) and even with dodgy chav wiring and permanent full volume, they are still going strong!

ive got directed in my tourer, very good, or ive used lanzar too..... out of the above three i would go for the infinity. but have a look at the brands i mentioned!!

I'm currently using a voodo monoblock amp 3200 watts max and 1600 watts rms serious b.line i'd also recommend the Kicker sx1250.1 excellent amp but expensive. Also rockford monoblock amps are highly recommendedessbee wrote:Which would you recommend?
