Has anyone on here removed the OBC from an E34?

Just wondering if its the same principle as an E30,or is the OBC loom pre fitted to E34`s,meaning i can just remove the main components?

Anyone advise?

Yep. To remove an E34 OBC - remove the radio and the radio cage. Look on the left of the radio hole with a torch and you'll see a small lever - push it forward with a screwdriver and the OBC slides out.
Most E34's (except shit spec 518i and 520i) have the loom built in. Cars with the nasty analogue clock (except basic 520i and 518i) only utilise the power and earth connections on the loom plug so the OBC plugs straight in. But you need to join to wires in the loom connection to power it up.

BTW I used to have E602FLC. A red 518i E28 registered 7th August 1987 by Milcars.
