I have had a play around trying to work out how to remove the front bumper on my Hartge H23. It is an early model with a chrome bumper.

I can't see how to remove and can't see the torx type bolts that my search here suggests should be there.

I am not sure whether I am missing something - but would appreciate assistance - a 'how to' guide with pics would be perfect, but any advice would be warmly received.

Cheers

On the plastic numberplate holder on the front of the bumper you should see two square blanking pieces either side of the numberplate, these pop out by inserting a screw driver or general poking device through the little hole on the underside. Once these are off you will see two nuts (can't remember size off the top of my head) remove these and you're half way there. Now you just need to remove the hex head nut from the inside of the wheel arch which attaches the bumper near the wheel arch. Once these are off pull the bumper a little, remove indicator connections and it's off.

Hope this helps.

Alternatively, if its a chrome bumper like you say, one of these always helps:

Thanks guys - will have a crack at the blanking pieces in the front black moulding. I saw those but didn't look behind them. If that doesn't work, will try the DeWalt method!

Fit a lovely lambswool buffing pad to it and dazzle pods(plastic owner drivers) with your highly polished rightness.
