My car is a 1991, which had a M40 318i engine originally. There are 3 fuel pipes entering the engine bay Ԛ—a a flow and a return and the third which goes in to some cylindrical thingy which I think is some sort of breather Ԛ—a incidentally the car had a CAT .
My M42 318iS car, which I am stripping for parts, has 3 fuel pipes Ԛ—a a flow and return plus a 3rd pipe, which is connected to nothing. This is a none-CAT car and there is a fuel filter at the front of the car.
My car has the fuel filter at the back. Question is will I have to swap over the filters, etc Ԛ… and what do I do with the third pipe.
Hope that all makes sense to someone coz its got me puzzled!
