You like how I put the gay é on the end of Coupé?
I tried to order an entire new floor carpet for my 318iS from BMW. They said it's not avaialble anymore in ANY colour.
Are there any companies out there that do quality re-trims or ready made coverings?
Could I get some heavy duty carpet, bond it to some heavy duty sound insulation and cut to fit?
It doesn't look like it's heat stamped / formed in some sepcial way so that could be an option.
Opinions / suggestions would be awesome.

It is shaped & formed - especially the backing foam which is around 2-3" thick in places.Royalratch wrote:Could I get some heavy duty carpet, bond it to some heavy duty sound insulation and cut to fit?

A trimmer can do it, as Zaust says, but I wouldn't suggest it's a DIY job.

Cheers guys.
Not sure which avenue would be best. I thought it would be a bit more than slapping some niftily cut carpet down.
I will look into it.
B-Trim- that's the guy sin Enfield no- the leather spcialists?

in my days as a car valeter we used to remove the carpets to steam them ( especially when service dept would give us a service valet with puke all dried into the carpet and floormat). TFR is very good at getting stains out. if u are able to use a carpet shampoo with some kind of conditioner in it after i would as the TFR can leave the fabric a little dry. i wouldnt try to steam the sound deadening on the back as its likely to just disintegrate. to dry the carpet properly u will need to hang it somehow in someplace warm. heater in a garage is propably ur best option. and it will take upto 2 days. under no circumstance put the carpet back in until it is completely dry as i have seen a Ԛ£12,000 e46 be written off with knackered electrics because of wet carpet being put back into car.Royalratch wrote:TFR?
