I need some help fellas with regards to what is going to hold the gearbox up in my conversion. Basically its an M30 lump using the E28 m535i dogleg gearbox. I need to know what two rubber mounts to use and what cross member as the ETK list quite a few variations. Has anyone else used the dogleg box????

Cheers in advance

My M30 engined E30 uses an E34 (not dog-leg) gearbox and I used the standard E30 325i gearbox cross member (bolted straight to the gearbox - no mods) with standard E34 gearbox mounting rubbers, although I think either rubbers will do.

If you haven't already had a look at the underside of the floor on your E30 you will see that the bolts the cross-member fixes to are in channels so can slide to the position you need! :D

I also used the E30 325i gear linkage to get the lever in the right place.

Hope that helps!

You will need to use M3 crossmember and M3 bushes.

Just wait till you find out how much they are new.
