Hi guys!! hope all is well.
After a year of hard saving ive decided i want an e30. I have 5 grand to play with but which option do i choose?

1. Buy an e30 which is bog standard for cheap and spend money on it, making sure its what i want.
OR
2. Buy an e30 that has everything on it that i am looking for (these tend to be a little more than 5grand though lol)

Any advise would be much appreciated

I would buy a bog standard car and modify to my tastes as then you can be sure that the work is done correctly, though if you find someone with a car to your tastes it will be the cheaper way as they may have spent 5k modifying an e30 but it doesnt make the car worth 5k more

Im not worried if it does put the value of the car up or not, i just want it to be what i want.
Looking at the moment for either a 325i cab and putting a hard top on it or just a 325i coupe, beautiful cars!!!!

Hmmmmm, thats a nice bit of money to spend on an e30 and gives you a lot of options but i reckon you should buy a bog standard one for cheaper and spend ur mney making it perfect. You could easy buy a nice 325 sport with that money.

Get yourself a nice straight touring with no rust for Ԛ£1000 and then wave your magic wallet at ANT to get a turbo put on it, and some good suspension. Leave it standard on the outside and go hunting Porsche Boxters

Of if you're into bling... do something else entirely. There's a million options out there, just avoid rust at all costs!

try and find a cheap m3 ...you wont lose any money at all....otherwise a sport which seem to be appreciating but in my opinion don't buy anything other than a 325 of whatever ilk and I agree with dobbie buy the cheapest and get it to your taste...everyone on the zone has a different opinion of what they want out of an e30

best of luck but with 5k you should end up with a decent car

I think you should save a little more and get yourself a e30 m3

Now even though you can do things to it, mods and that....Would you really need to?? It looks sweet as it is

Failing that, you can pic up some nice examples of the e30 for good cash, so maybe you could still buy a decent one out of your 5 big 1's and spend what you have left on mods...Believe me once those 5 Big 1's are gone, it won't be the end of it!!
