I want to fit a M Tech 2 kit to my 1989 convertible - problem is that it is pre facelift with the metal bumpers - I have seen these fitted - what is the best way forward? Also read some horror stories regarding the side skirts.

This does not cover the side skirts (which i personally think are minging anyway
) but if you must then the cabs have wider cills than the coupe, so the lower side skirts need a bit of cutting and a few additional brackets on them to make them sit flush, unless you have the tech 2 kit off of a cab.
not so easy in your mums garage, not too hard with the help of a body shop

Thanks Guys - checked out the site - you need to cut the plastic bumpers down - wondering if it will be an easier option to buy an aftermarket mtech 2 kit specifically for the convertible/chrome bumper? Dont fancy the prices for the genuine kit and then having to cut they bumpers down? Help...
