DIFF PROBLEMS HELP!!!!!!

320 diff is small case and 325 is medium case, but they are interchangeable. Drive shafts are the same, and propshaft will fit (unscrew clamping sleeve and fine tune sliding section to fit).
Diff ratio will probably be a bit diferent, depending on whether your car/ donor car is automatic/manuel/touring, but will probably be close enough.
Ratio should be marked on a metel tag attached to one of the rear cover bolts.

thanks for that info ill have a look for that tag,me and my dad were wondering wich way the ratio's would work better acceleration or better top speed or niether

Where are you based? i know my local salvage place has a 320 in at the moment, thats in Cannock, West Mids....

Diffs from smaller engined E28 five series fit an E30 as well, if you change over the rear cover and ouput flanges.
