Bit of a strange one this.
I have a 4 door here with drivers door lock damage as some scrote tried to break in.
The front doors open and close and lock and unlock fine but both rears appear to be deadlocked and you can't pull the buttons up to unlock them :?
Any ideas folks?
Cheers Spadge..

Deadlocks are engaged because the deadlock switch on the driver's door is jammed in because of the damage, and the deadlock motor on your passenger door was knackered before.

Ok thanks Brian
I'll strip the damaged lock out tomorrow and replace both that and the passenger one.

Rather an extreme childlock. Have they fitted front seats from a 2 door as well? winkeye

On a more serious note, check none of the wires are damaged coming from the control box. Could be the car was deadlocked when the scrote broke in, and he's nadgered it to get the deadlocks off on the front end.

Anything that doesn't look right, I'd try deadlocking it and sorting it, then try opening the deadlocking. Hopefully it will take the rears with it.

At least you can get into the car.
Good luck with it
Currently slumming it in an E46 Touring

Control unit is under the driver's footwell speaker, but it's not sophisticated enough to be "reset" by disconnecting and reconnecting.
If you take the trouble to get in that far, the deadlocks can be operated by applying 12V momentarily across the blue and black wires with the ECU disconnected.
