ok so i think wwe have narrowed down poor brakes to the master cylinder howerver i have a problem
1)original master cylinder (3 outlets) deffo broke
2)second hand but abs master cylinder with 2 outlets and one blanked off which you can remove to make it 3outlets - broke but not as bad though still not at all good
.3)just bought another one however this one only has 2 outlets? wtf? can i just rigg it up with a t piece to feed the front brakes or would that not be safe?
i would rather not have to buy a new one!
any advice appreciated!
Who knows about brake master cylinders?

anyone have an idea if the t piece after yhe outlet would be safe or balanced for that matter? it would in essence have the fronts running akin to thed back setup.

Adding the tee piece wouldn't cause any problems in itself. The two ports on the front section of the master cylinder just go straight into the same bore.
Of more concern is whether this is an E30 master cylinder at all, since it has a missing port.

hey guys,
i also need a new brake master clyinder for a 318, been looking around and it seems impossible to find one from a scrap-yard.
it turns out that there is different ones for the different models,
the brake master cylinder changed in April 87, and i cant find the earlier 3 port one anywhere! (mines from feb 87)
ive been to europarts n they can get a replacement one in for Ԛ£170, and German and Swedish Car Parts can get one for Ԛ£80. but the scrap-yards have said it should only be Ԛ£15 if they get one in
if anyone knows where to get one please get in touch!
