whining when turning!!!

hi guys,i have recently developed a whining from the front of my 2.5 when turning corners but disappers when in a straight line or braking and was hoping you knowledgable guys might know whats wrong?thanks for the help.

On a more serious note, Sounds like wheel bearings. Is it equal noise both left and right, ? or noisier on a left for example. ?

My next door neighbour has this prob at the moment, Its the steering belt im gonna have a look tomorrow morning for him

Oops. was remembering my golf!!!
A long shot but when i worked at a garage a few years ago we had a car that whined on corners. it turned out to be the shield behind the disk. it had bent towards the disk a little and was touching on corners. Good luck!

16V IS engine!!!
