Which Springs Should i choose. Vote.

Look at my car, and tell me, will 30mm Springs look good ? I was thinking of 30mm lowering springs by Apex (Ԛ£96 delivered)

Or should i choose others ?

I must admit, the car seems to sit low on the front, so i may just fit rear springs, although i thing the front springs are "tired" to say the least.

Dunno about Apex for the M3, but I can recommend Faulkners for Road/light track use...about 35mm drop, and decent poundage...

Are those wheels 16" and the tyres the std 225/45 size?

If, sso, looks a bit high on the back. rather than low on the front...

They are 8.5"x 17" and have 225/35 Falkens on them.

Does look high at they back. Hence I could always just fit the rear springs ?

Think the main question is: How does the car handle and what is the ride quality like?

Then: is it for road use only, or track days also?

The bigger the wheel, the harsher the ride (as a rule) and the higher the unsprung weight on the car...
235/35/17 is quite a chunk smaller in rolling diameter to the standard 225/45/16 or 205/55/15 that were supplied with the E30 M3s

A nearer size match would be 245/35/17, for example...depending on which brand, exactly...

Perhaps the rear isn't high, more the wheel/tyre combination isn't exactly right...
If you lower the car by 35mm, make sure that the tyre doesn't hit either the wheel arches and at the front that the tyre is clear of the rear arch on full lock...

I'd go lower.

I've yet to see a set of springs that lower by the stated amount. Except for boge which is normally more than they state.

Ideally you could go for coilovers, which will let you decide how you want it.

As the saying goes 'It's all about stance' get that wrong and nicely modded car such as yours can look wrong...

The Ride Quality is fine, not as harsh and bumpy as you'd expect (like other cars ive driven) with big wheels with low profiles.

It is mainly for Road use, i doubt i'll get chance to bring it to a track day especially with my rallying :-

I'm tempted just to lower the rear. When i had the NSF jacked up the other day the OSR wheel was RIGHT up in the arch, and it didnt seem to be touching anything.

I'm also thinking, that due to the front springs being "tired" and seemingly gone soft, that when i put new "30mm lower" springs it will actually either stay the same, or maybe even rise it up a tad.

u can't go wrong with H&R, alot of M3 chaps use 6 pot 35mm drop springs

would advise as has been said
spending out a bit more cash
and not fitting apex

also if front feels tired
its more likely to be shocks
these have a life of two years(servicable)
and then fail rates and damping rapidly

As already said...go with H&R or Eibach...stretch a little further you won't regret it.
