i just fixed my heater motor.
it had stopped working a while back
got round to it today.
tested the switch ,fuse relay etc and they was ok
undid the covering in the engine bulk head and that around the fan.
the baldes were tight & siezed on.
WD40 the spindle that runs through both sides of the fans moved it around and with a bit of playing around she now works fine.
and was easy to do.
would reccommend a splash of WD40 to anyone looking to service an high mileage beast like mine and it will stop the thing from siezing ever in the future.

WD40 for unseizing it, yes, but you want to let that dry off then get some light oil ("three-in-one", if it still exists) in there.
Good for another fifteen years then.

Yup, still available. Even comes in a handy new container with a long reach non drip capillary nozzle for those hard to reach places. WD40 is great for penetration but it doesn't leave much of it self behind over time. However if you are looking for even better protection for your moving parts then use gun oil with added VP90 corrosion inhibitor. It's first class stuff and is available cheaply from your local arms dealer or all good shooting shops. I do believe that all countrywide stores sell it too.

funny that
the WD40 was next to the 3 in 1 on the garage shelf and picked it up and read the label
