Right have a new (well 19yrs old) e30 325i SE. I'm not a massive fan of 4drs but it was cheap and the body was in good nick, the lump is smooth and nice at revs but is running really rich and smoking lightly from cold and then when warm but not under load. It also idles really low, 500rpm regardless of engine temp and nearly stalls when you pull the dipstick. I'm going to change the blue temp sensor to see if it sorts the idling out a bit but I'm not sure what to check for the fueling.

When the gas is let off it puffs a bit of smoke, it's done 140,000k so it's getting on a bit so could it be the rings leaking from overfueling? I'm going to try another AFM of eGay to see if it solves the fueling. I've also got some m3 injectors from a previous e30. They are e36 m3 injectors which I remember run 3bar of pressure in the e36 and standard will pump 2.5bar so do I need an e36 m3 fuel pump so it matches the pressure? I've also got a chip that the car was mapped to when it was running the injectors but on the standard pump so will adding a more powerful pump need a remap?

Lots of questions I know but appreciate the help
Thanks in advance.
