make sure your insurer will still insure you if you have fitted the lpg kit yourself...unsurprisingly most of the miserable bastards wont

i know the basics of the engine transplant but the main things im worried about is transmission prop and the lpg setup. will i be ok using my own 2.5 box? my car is running 25 sport spec so would my own lsd be ok? or would i need to upgrade? also is there any mods i need to do to the shell for strenth? also is it worth putting the lpg coversion in? and if so will it be straight forward taking it out the 735 to put in my 3 series? ive also had thoughts on selling the 735 and using the money to build an engine to put in my own car. but what would i get for a 1989 735i with lpg conversion. its the top spec fully loaded and is ready for a mot.

Don't know much personally about this engine conversion, but the 2.5 box and your diff will be up to it OK, and the shell is plenty strong enough.
The conversion itself has been done plenty of times by people on here, and everything you can possibly want to know is in the archives, or ask in the engine conversions forum.
As for the LPG side of things - if it were my car, the LPG would definitely be going in with the engine. It will cut your fuel costs by at least 40% (more if there's competition for LPG sales in your area), and extend your engine life considerably. You'll need new pipework, and probably a new tank.
Big old barges like the 735 aren't worth a lot I'm afraid, even if they are fully loaded.
