Ok went to fit my new diff tonight on the turd and after 3 hours of mucking around it come off however the diff had sealed to the prop.
Is there a easy way to reconnect the prop back to the rest of the shaft??
Im at the stage of throwing the diff through the rear window and letting the car roll down the road into a wall.
If there aint a easy way of doing it how much will i get back on 3 months tax??
Thanks
Neil

Maybe its a drive shaft i know it connects tot he diff, and then splits in half and the later half connects to the gear box
Is there a easy way of connecting the splin's back together or is it a case of dropping the exhaust and under covering to reconnect???

Do you mean the front and rear half of the propshaft (gearbox to diff) has separated in the middle ?
There is usually a sort of nut that holds the two halves together but they are not always put back on as nobody I've asked seems to know it's purpose!
If that's the case the rear half of the prop should just slide back on to the front half.
That's if I have undrstood the question correctly!

Does the spline's match up easly or do u need to drop the under side of the car??
Thanks

If you've pulled the splined section apart without marking how it was, then you have a problem! The shaft is balanced as a complete unit, and, unless the shaft is pushed together exactly as it was, it will be out of balance
Splined section slides in the other section easily enough if the sleeve nut around the shaft near the centre bearing is slackened off.
You can get the covers under the prop off without removing the rear exhaust, but access is a lot easier if you do.
