Hi
whos run NOS on m20 lump ? before ?,
any problems, things to look out for , before fitting or weak pionts ?

I ve gots Fuzzy's wizard kit, 6 fogger system , so will run it as a 50 at first and gradually up it to 100 or 125 jets dependant on detonation etc , will std head bolts & gasket take this ?

i can drill and tap each runner but before i do , do 6 pots like the foggers as close up to the intake valve as poss , or further back ?

As i ve already got Maxiumzer controller and retard box , spare , so i was thinking at about 3 deg at first then may be 4 to 6 for 125 jets , unless any knows diff?
its goting on to a 2.7 eta lump with 320 head with 325 valves ported out etc std 325 cam ,
i'm not sure what to reduce the fuel pressure down too first ?,

tell me what u've tried and what works and what does nt ,
cheers 8O

try gigashadow on e30tech if you dont get an answer, he knows his NOS, so does good and tight, they have both had it setup on BMW's, there is someone here that uses it from up north but not sure if he still posts and dont rember his name.

i've got a basic 75bhp one shot system in a 325i spoert auto 128mls, have done 2 x 11lb bottles in amonth :D no problems so far, it is very additive :D just brought as an anti lag device for my turbo install and just having a laugh with it at the mo.

for some tech/sales info try WON wizards of nos

Thanks
all info is good , thought there would be a few using it
as it one of the cheapest bhp mods/ Ԛ£ ,and u can take offand move to your need car easily

Would i be right to assume you got one fogger nozzle spraying into the plenum just before the throttle body, may be into the rubber bellows, with petrol taped off before the fuel rail, may be with a fuel preesure reguator too ?
i would have thought that a healthy 6 pot would take 100bhp if set up well with progessive control

i sure some one must of used a multi port system one a 6 pot? before
cheers

yes one fogger tapped into the rubber bellows just before the plenum ,
petrol feed taped off before the fuel regulator,

not sure how much you gain from multi port for the effort imo,

have got a megasquirt ecu that i want to pulse the single fogger at certain low boost conditions or 1/4 mile madness,

the one shot 75bhp on/off is a bit of a handfull in the wet

by the way it's not that cheap in the long run with refill costs put into the equation :(

Well that would depend
, its cheap if you fill your own bottles up ! but dear if you pay others ,
what kit is it ? Wizard ?, what nos and fuel jet s are u running

single shots can work well , but nearly always give an uneven amount of nos into each cylinder, worst case more nos into some cylinder , than others , and it could melt a piston real quick!
byy using one fogger/ cylinderyou know , (if jetted correctly that the mixture will be even nos /fuel and is there poss to run higher shots safer, ie using proggesive controller to manage it and help your transmission survive
megasquirt on my plan too

cost is about 4 quid per lb if you go to a shop or you can rent a massive bottle about 5' high not sure of the capacity works out a lot cheaper but you must be an addict

my one shot mixes fuel & nos through the fogger, there are two jets & two solenoids one for fuel one for nos, not sure what the jets are but speced for 75 bhp will let you know tomorrow,

the megasquirt will only have 1 out put to pulse the solonoids not sure if your six port will need six outputs :?:

Ideally u want to be able to pusle both seperatly , if you want to push thing s on
prehaps ANT can tell us if thats possible ??

so you can soft start the nos by flooding the fuel in first to ensure it does nt run lean as the nos is under 900 to 1200 psi , and the fuel alot less, so it reachs the cylinder later ie , so nos can beat the fuel into the cylinders and melt your piston's , so seperate solenoid control is much beltter , or you can mess around with short fuel lines and longer nos line sto try and balance it out , but thats so 80 s  , and crude by todays standards
6 pot still only uses two soleniods but manifold arrangement into each cylinder

Matt, from what i hear mate, with the m/s you dont even need the fuel solenoid, loadsa mapping time and the nos solenoid will work on its own

i think exup (exhaust utimate powervalve fzr1000 so 90's  ) means
activate the fuel only solonoide a few mili sec before or i surpose you could have ms open up the injectors in the maps hmmm, interesting :D

MATT G ,
YOUR RIGHT ON THE =EXUP = exhaust utimate powervalve fzr1000 so 90's

If you can fine control both solenoids, you can pre prime the fuel line ie (after the dead end part of the solenoid v/v, so the fuel pressure would drop before the pump catchs up when the solenoid opens) by arming the fuel first u minize this and make sure theres enought fuel to stop it going lean

What we really should be looking at are dry nos sytems , ie only spraying nos in , and using existing injectors max out or poss up rated injectors to supply the extra fuel , this is a far better way to nos any thing as injectors atmotmise fuel better than fogger nozzles , i will try to speak to ANT on want std fuel pump and 3256 injectors can run , but belive there s not much head room ??

going to be uprating the fuel injectors as the stock one are running pretty much max, may only need one out put for the nos solonoid on its own

re timing , NOS burns really quicky , so its normal to retard the timing , depending on size of the hit , i normally run -3 or 4 degrees for 100 bhp hit,
better safe than sorry , when it goes its so quick and costs so much to but right
