I finally got a 2.5 engine for mine, not a major do but considering I have a 2.0 its a big step, that and my winter mobile, ahem Ford Mondeo.

Sorry.

M54 flywheel should swop onto the M52 and allow you to use the new type clutches as per the 320D box dude

My list is rather like Gunni's TBH.

3 more M20 turbo conversions
1 more M40 turbo conversion
4 or 5 complete MS and wasted installs.

there is more, but its not that exciting.... yet

Oh, and I'm fitting the Holset after christmas, going back N/A ( on MS still of course ) for the time being, need a daily again 8)

Turbo conv on a 320 touring here, 324td manifold, T3 with 48 exhaust housing, 360 degree bearings and cossie compressor wheel, volvo I/C, MS with all the bells and whistles and hopefully wasted spark, decomp plate, 30# inj. 12.9 headbolts, 325 inlet and t/b, 3" zorst from turbo back.

On top of this.. cossie front seats, two tone respray, new wheels, and decent install.. this lot will see me well into next year :D

Cheers Ant, but im awkward and want to use my 'shaved' M20 flywheel :D

Plan is, once ive found a used centre plate, to get it refurbed with uprated friction material and a custom cover plate to try and keep it as close to 240mm diameter as possible. Clutches are only available from the dealers at the mo, the centre plate on its own is Ԛ£150Ԛ±

If I get time, I'm gonna re-engineer the throttle bodies for Brown to see what gains there are to be had in the low end torque department :)

Then if I've got any money (and the car passes an MOT) I still need a bigger set of injectors and then it'll be off to Emerald for a re-map to see if I can get over 300bhp with a little more boost :D

Not quite gonna do it over winter, but had to post cuz I'm so excited about it. Gonna get rid of the lil m42 and go w/ an m30 hopefully early next summer, then possibly 5 stud swap as well during the summer sometime.

I will be spending this winter planning for the next project (and getting the current one finished  ).

Next project will be FI, but Im still undecided on which engine will be the victim. With the resources on here and the fact I already have one, the 2.5 M20 is the obvious choice but I so want an S50 turbo

I had the chance of another 3.0ltr, but it turned out the head was knackered :(

Still, if I can get another S50 engine, the basic plan would most likely be lock the cam and remove the Vanos, run MS (with Ants help  ), lower the compression, custom built plenum to fit the TBs (and clear the brake servo), something along the lines of a T4 turbo and something to make the all important wooooosh noises :D

Still needs a lot of planning (ways to lower comp, which head bolts etc) but Ive got all winter.... :?

Manifolds are being done this week, then its match up the rest of the system, find a suitable LSD (or fit a 2.93 open diff), new discs and pads and go for MOT :D

Got a feeling it will fail on suspension bushes of some sort, but we will see.

Hows yours going? Loving your sig pic  Any more pics???
