How do I open the foglight switch?

How do I open the foglight switch to clean the contacts etc?

There seems to be some tabs, two on either side which I imagine you press down, to open it.I have tried with a screwdriver but not having much luck. Has anyone done this?

Yeah I've done it, don't remember it being a drama. My front fogs weren't working so cleaned 'em up and it sorted them out. I'll have a look at mine to see if it jogs my memory.....

Be careful opening it. I tried this and various bits shot across the room as the springs inside decompressed. I ended up buying one from dips346 on Ebay for Ԛ£1.99 in the end having bust a retaining tab as I opened the switch. You may be less cack-handed.

get a new one from the breakers its so much easyer or use a hammer to open it will have th esame affect as opening the casing and watching the springs fly out
