A little while ago I got a new computer (or ECU or EMS or whatever you want to call it) fitted to my car, a standalone one that completely replaced the factory computer. It was fitted in summer when the temperature was fairly hot but now it is autum (I am in Australia) and the temperature is dropping so it is getting hard to start. I have to hold it above 3000rpm for a few minutes after I start it other wise it will stall. I am taking it back to the mechanic today to get it fixed.
I had to start it up a couple of nights ago and my father was watching. I stated it and tried to hold it over 3000rpm but not rev it any higher because I know that high rpm with a cold engine is not good, which was actually rather difficult. It popped and stumbled and made a lot of other noises and finally idled by itself so I got out of the car and my father told me it had been shooting small flames out of the exhaust, obviously some unburnt fuel.
Anyway the point was, now my car is real race car

with a poor idle (obviously a race camshaft

), flames and everything.
