My wipers suddenly stopped working last night as the rain came pi**ing down so i got home (just about) i read the article on fixing windscreen wiper problems,I followed the instructions, fantastic my wipers were alive again....

but....

The motor seems to just want to pull the wipers to the bottom of the windscreen rubber & not lift back up,the motor is very noisy. The two blades just don't seem to be in sync, i've tried adjusting them on the spindle but it just does the same thing.

i'm slowly getting pi**ed off with my E30 and i'm loosing faith,it's just one problem after another.

help.

have you completely cleaned the contac plate? I have found it neccesery to use wet/dry paper, or even a drill/dremel.

Contact plate problems only affect intermittent running and parking. This sounds like a duff motor.
If the two blades aren't synchronised, then there's either something very unusual gone wrong with the linkage, or the arms are on the spindles incorrectly.
