strange knocking is there a common fault?

my 318is has developed a hollow knocking sound when it drives there's no signs of lack in performance, i recently changed all the rubbers on the exhaust as i thought it was down to worn rubbers but it hasn't changed the noise seems to come from the centre of the car.Its the same through the gears but worse in reverse or if i hit a bump. please help,

I'd put money on it being a duff prop centre bearing. The rubber mount is probably torn.bigdek wrote:prop centre bearing probably
