318i -316i Head swap

Anyone know if you can take complete head off sweet running 318i engine and do a straight swap to a ticking 316i or failing this are the cams the same and swappable?

Get in touch with www.fritzsbits.co.uk they're in the know about these type of matters. Otherwise Sy316 and Gwynleym10 are the guys who know about M10 tuning.

And might be a good idea to advise which engine model you are reffering too also

Thanks Fozzie. 318i is a 1990 and 316i is a 1991 so they should both be M40 engines. From what I have found out so far the only difference between the two models is the cc. Someone must have tried this before?
