expensive, and a bit pointless? surely the (insane) buyer of this car wouldn't want to drive it for fear of upping the miles or wearing and tearing - a 15k e30 shaped ornament! a scruffy 200k miler for a grand would be my choice, to get driven properly

and the change? 911 C2, E39 M5, Z3MC, there's loads! E30 and 15 grand don't belong in the same sentence...

There are always newer, faster, more competent, more economical, safer and better cars that go for less money than E30s. So most of the people on this forum are mugs then is the general consensus of this thread :D

I don't think most of us own or have owned them because they are good value for money or make financial sense and the market for most of these cars is very specific.

So how much is it worth ? Most of the scrap sports that turn up aren't worth sod all, but poeple still seem to regularly fork out 2K plus for a car that the market guides will tell you is worth bugger all...

Find another one exactly like this and compare the price.... oh no you can't can you

Thing is, there are people who look at Ԛ£15k as pocket change. I knew a guy (very rich Arab) who once bought a brand new car from a dealer because he'd missed a train and didn't want to be late. It sat in the carpark from then on and he didn't drive it again. If there's a rich car lover who likes E30s out there, then he'd probably buy it and play with it for a year or two. If not, it'll get relisted.

I'd guess that this thing was stored at the end of the 80s when classic car prices were insane and people were buying Integrale Evos or anything with a limited edition plate and sticking them in hangars as rock-solid investments. That or its been a chicken coop for 15 years ;)
