ok guys, seeing as all my workshop mauals are about as usefull as a broken leg can anyone tell me how much fluid is needed to fill the PAS system

imho you fill up the resiuvor untill full move wheel full left full right and top up as required

i know how to bleed it, but i need to know howmuch fliud to order, i.e. one or two litres or five litres or whatever

Bill did not whish to seem rude. Have just spoken to my local stealer (a large one) and guess what they dont know, the man said drain it into a jar and see how much you need :x

im sure when i changed my rack and pumpo i used less than a 500ml bottle to fill the system

In my bentley manual it says 1200ml (approx.)

i've already ordered it now, got 5 litres just to be on the safe side, only 17 quid

changed mine from a dead empty rack and it was just on 1lt. youll have enough to change it yearly for the next five years. now thats preventative maintainance :D

The amount it takes to fill the system pales into insignificance compared, to the amount it takes to flush the system.
You need at least three litres to do the job properly.
