My '89 325i keeps loosing water, after seeing no leaks I had it checked and they told me there were no water leaks anywhere.
Now, my fears are even worst as I discovered a bit of 'mayonnaise' on the oil stick...
Is the head cracked? How much should i expect to pay to get it fixed? Any sugestions of garages to take the car in North London?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Definately sounds like a cracked head, get it pressure tested to be sure though.

It depends on where you take it to how much it's going to cost you but it's not going to be a cheap job. Probably £500 incl parts at a garage.

If you're looking for a new head, check the parts for sale section, I have a 325i head on there at the moment on ebay but I can always end it early.

The head has to be removed to be pressure tested which is still an expensive job.

Basically, it's not gonna be cheap!
