Front shocks...ECP

Had the touring MOTd this morning. It only failed on front shocks which Im pretty happy about considering it was cheap car.

Anyway, its a 318i touring but must be an early one because the ETK is saying it has 45mm struts and not 51mm.

ECP only lists 51mm struts for it, but Im going to need 45mm struts. Can I order and fit 318i saloon (45mm) front shocks?

all tourings had large 51 mm shocks or so i am lead to believe

the rebound rate would be different for the saloon becauseof the extra weight of the touring body shell easy way if you have to go 45mm 320 convert springs but as i said it will be 51mm strust on your touring

I thought they were 51mm struts but it was 45mm struts on the very early 318i tourings, which mine seams to be. 45mm struts were confirmed by putting Vin number into the ETK.

Ive got some shocks now (dont need springs) for the 45mm struts - I had to get them earlier this afternoon as I need to get them replaced tomorrow to get the car MOTd.

Mmm 45mm struts, 4cyl springs and an M20 under the bonnet - should be fun
