silly question maybe, here goes..
i want to repaint the front valance as its seen more than its share of stonechips and is corroding and letting down the front of my car. gonna get some rattlecans from the stealers and repaint it myself. i would just mask everything up but i would like to remove it so its easier to rub down etc. am i likely to run into probs with removal/ refitting

Surprisingly few screws hold on the whole front valence.

My front valance has also seen better days, and I would love to replace it, however E30's with no front damage are hard to find at wreckers. Looked through some old threads regarding replacement, and it seems that both the ETK, and realoem list the incorrect part? I have both, and they seem to only show the pre-facelift front. Does anybody know the actual part no. for post-facelift ones? Or are they available elsewhere...

The ETK is for part identification only. It's quite likely that the pre facelift pics are used for the post facelift parts.
Stick in your post facelift VIN and only the right parts should come up in the list.

Plenty of good second hand ones around. Most scrappers have relatively new parts on them, put on in the hope of keeping it alive a little longer.
