Hi,
What's the difference between headlamp wash/wipe and intensive wash.
And do you need a special stalk for headlamp wash/wipe ?

the stalk is differnt as it has an S marking on the end and i think it pushes in the way like the obc stalk.

Read your PM last night, but didn't have time to reply, so I'll reply here now instead.
Headlamp wipers always came bundles with headlamp washers and the intensive wash system.
I take it you are just fitting the wipers? Otherwise you'll need the double/intensive screenwash tank to have a position for the headlamp washer motor.
The circuit diagram for the system is in the Haynes manual, which is on line somewhere on some Eastern European site, IIRC.
The setup does use a different wash/wipe unit in the fusebox, but the extra terminals are for the intensive wash. Same applies to the wiper stalk.
The wiring arrangements use a plug that goes onto the screenwash pump in place of the original, and a socket into which the original plug goes. This supplies the set up with 12V+, 1st ignition position, on the purple black wire, and with a screenwash signal on the brown/black, so that the headlamp wipe/wash relay can count up to five to know when to operate.
The other connection is a round two pin plug and socket behind the LH headlamp. This has a brown/grey wire for the intensive washer pump (earth to operate), and a grey/white wire, which is the RH sidelamp supply, so that the unit knows when the lights are on.

sorry to hijack this but.....

brian if i wanted to remove the wee relay box behind the offside lights....the one that has virtually all of the wiring above going into it, which wires would i leave for a normal screen wash?. ive no intensive wash/headlamp wash due to the 335 conversion and all i have left of the original set up is that relay thing....it bugs me.

my washer motor and heated jets seem to work off purple/black......dont know about earth though. do i still need the brown/grey or brown/black?

There should be a socket floating about in the wiring behind the RH headlamp with a plug in it similar to the plug that is on the screen washer pump. Split this plug and socket, remove the plug from the screenwash pump, and push the first plug on the pump in its place.
Electronics module on the washer bottle, and all the loom associated with the additional washer pumps and wipers, will now be disconnected until you get to the round two pin plug and socket behind the LH headlamp. Unplug this as well, and the loom can be removed from the car.

Thanks for the reply, Brian.
Will see if I get time at the weekend to see what goes where.
