Hi
I have been forwarded to this site by bmwtrackdays.com as I have just taken the plunge and bought an E30 325i coupe as a basis for a track car.
For the past six years I have made a pigrimage to the Nurburgring a few times a season in a variety of cars including my own modified E36 M3 (AP brakes, Toyo R888 tyres, bucket, harness etc). However, the trackwork is taking it's toll so I have decided to create a dedicated 'ring car and found a stripped and caged E30 as a base. I know someone down here (Cornwall) who has done a couple of E36 M3 engine conversions and so I hope to have 'project trackslag' up and running in time for next season.

Any advice would be more than welcome

Excellent choice of car.

Welcome to the Zone dude... I'm sure you'll get all the info you could ever dream of from here. A couple of guys have done the E36 M3 conversion... there's plenty of threads to read. 8)

Thank you for the welcome guys :D
I will certainly keep you all posted with the project....... and the performance result 8) If my calculations are correct then it should result in about 275 bhp/tonne....... i.e. a 0-100mph of around 10.5s winkeye
That will keep me out of mischief :D
