hi,im putting my 325i into a 318 shell,and ive been told that i can just unplug the check light from the 325 loom and plug it into the 318 loom,is it really that easy? i doubt it!! cheers

If the 318 doesn't already have the check control, then it's a major PIA to retro fit...

so should i just change the complete loom over? at least i'd still have my immobiliser! strangely enough my pre-facelift 325 has a late loom and ecu in it anyway,i reckon i'll just change it over,any easier ideas??!!

i`m swapping looms in my 325i as as standard it didn`t have elec windows or central locking, but my other 325i with nackered shell has the full elec pack so i`m swapping looms over.

its not too bad a job just a bit time consuming.

another bonus is i found a few faults in the wiring and some dodgy connectors so i can sort them out before i put the loom in.
