cruise control

has any one got a pic of a complete cruise control

i took one out of a car need to check if i got everything

i got the wiring loom
cruise control brain box
cruise control stalk
steering colum surround
and the actulator

am i missing any thing?

clutch pedal switch,green plug from bottom of speedo?

this green plug from the bottom of the speedo does it conect anywere else after or jus connects there like the coding plug?

do i also need to get the clutch pedal switch if i got a auto? do i also need the brake switch?

just short the clucth switch then,make a link .green plug goes to loom...senses brakes through system no seperate switch...hth

If you look under the hump for the back of the speedo on the rear of the cluster you will see five small holes in a row with a small gap dividing them into two and three. These are the socket pins for the green cluster connector.
The actual green plastic frame often isn't fitted, but you can see the plastic hooks that would hold it in place.
Most of the sockets are for the speed signal, so just stick 4mm or so of bare wire in and tape or glue it.
The clutch switch connections are just shorted together, and the brake wire just goes to the green/red normal brake light wire from the brake switch.
This wire is present near the top right corner of the accessories socket in the glovebox, along with the 12V+ supply for the cruise control.

brian that was a old thread that i wrote in didnt get much replys so i wrote my own thread

i still have the other car were i took the cruise control from the green connector you both are talking about does it come out from the other car?

would i have a brake switch present in my car at the moment?

any one have a diagram they can up load for the cruise control

im going to see the car in a little while i just wana make sure that i take everything out this time before it goes

Green socket frame can be unclipped from one cluster, if it's there, and clipped on to another.
Yes, you should have a brake light switch in your car - it works those two bright red lights on the back of the car.
Wiring diagram is in the Haynes manual, which is on line somewhere.

only switch mine has on cc loom is for clutch ?senses brake depression somehow

Clutch switch is just shorted out, then the wire goes onto the brake switch.
If this is a single green/red wire, then forget about clutch switches, just connect it to the brake light switch wire (at the accessories socket).

they are 4 pounds odd from dealers ,its shown on etk .
it is under speedo on instrument cluster-pushes from the bottom up...

these are the wires i have
brake switch: two green/ red ones with a black connector?

clutch switch: two wires one green/ red and the other white/purple

i have two other wires that are separate

one is blue/yellow with a black connector on it

and the other is a blue/ grey witha white connector on it

i got a brown which i think is a earth

which one of these go to the speedo?

yes i think so if i remember correctly....i know -i know ...this is how it is sensed,i was expecting a physical switch?never mind eh

no you need the accessplug socket thingy from the bottom of speedo or no worky...
