how do all,
i've just had a look under my car and i have a large case diff and this stamped on the tag (see pic), also when i turn the wheels off the floor on a jack they both turn the same way straight away is this an lsd? what ratio is it? and how do i service it ta.

When u do a burn out does it leave to black lines or 1

On my tag on my slipper there is a S in a circle at the bottom of the tag which indercated it was a slipper

i can't do a burnoutwith it as it's not taxed and insured and it's currently on my nicely brick paved drive ha ha.

ps if i were to fit ths to my 318is which has a small case i'd need to swap the prop and drive shafts too?????

Drive shafts are the same, and prop would only need the normal setting up following any diff swap.
That's definitely the tag from a slipper, and ratio is the numbers in front of the S.

but that would mean it's a 0.11 ratio? or does it mean 3.11? what do you mean by setting up of the prop?

it came off a 325 1986 d reg (so i assume the 86 at the end is it's year) as for the ratio i still don't know.

86 325i i reckon its a 3.64 as that whats my 86 325i had, but then again my other 86 325i had the 3.91 sport diff
