Gonna be swapping my M10 engine for another one out of my donor car in the next few days, last time I did an engine swap was in a mini, how difficult is it going to be? Gonna be hiring an engine crane to assist me. any tips I should know? Go all the plumbing out already as well as all the electrics, just need to disconnect the exhaust and the Prop now as i will be leaving the gearboxes attached as that seems to the normal way to do it?!? Do I need to raise the front of the car or leave it standing on the wheels? How difficult is the prop removal? guessing the bolts are going to be quite tight!
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Donor car will be ready for engine removal thursday morning is it feasible to drive in my car thursday morning and have the new engine fitted same day?

Having removed and replaced many mini engines and also many BMW engines, I can assure you that the BMW will be an absolute joy in comparison - plenty of room, good design, quality engineering - and bolts that just unscrew.
Can be done in a day, but don't plan on going out socially that evening.
